Philip McBride is a Planner II with the Department of Land Use for New Castle County Delaware. In his role of Planner II he works on zoning and subdivision approvals, as well as, comprehensive planning and small area master plans. In recent years New Castle County has undertaken a series of small area master plans and Philip has facilitated the County’s effort. The small area master plans locations include the Route 9 Corridor in New Castle, North Claymont, Concord Pike (Route 202) in North Wilmington, and Southern New Castle County. New Castle County is currently in the beginning stages of updating its Comprehensive Plan for 2050 and Philip will have an integral part in that process. He has also worked extensively with the County’s Board of Adjustment and Design Review Advisory Committees. He received his Master’s in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014.
